Pre-requisites of CDL testing

Several things must be completed in a specific order prior to taking a CDL test.

You are required to register your medical certification with your local DMV.

Other CDL information

Having a CDL is a great responsibility. there are things you will be required to do in order to maintain your CDL.

You must maintain your Medical certification. You will accomplish this by keeping track of the expiration date of the certification. It is a good idea to schedule your next Medical physical at least 30 days prior to the expiration date. This is a good idea in case the Medical professional finds something that needs further attention such as a need for eye glasses or contacts to pass the vision portion of the Medical exam.

You must take and pass a pre-employment drug screen also you will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing. Failing or refusing to take these tests when directed to do so has sever ramifications to you r CDL.
